McCain must be polling very poorly with the conservatives in Arizona for his re-election next year. He needs to tack right and explain past errors.

Lol, I take it Schmidt is not yet on board to manage McCain's reelection campaign next year?

He seems as flaky as McCain.

I wonder who told him to shut up and get with the program?

Somebody with half a brain in the GOP establishment. Not sure who that would be. :)

Steve, you should have said that BEFORE she wrote the book.

Too late, Mr. Schmidt, your career is over. Go work for the Dems. Oh, right, you already are.

Steve wants to be remembered as a campaign vendor in 2012.

Been saying it since her book was announced. She’s going rouge- maverick style.

Schmidt earlier this month said that Palin would be a catastrophe for the GOP if she's the party's presidential nominee in 2012.

I agree. They might have to actually start acting like the conservatives they always claim to be.

Two reasons for Steve Schmindts about face on Palin.

1) Stevie boy must have received an earful from grassroots conservatives.

2) Randy Scheunemann, a Palin ally, signed on to work on Tim Pawlenty’s PAC. To beltway insiders, this could be a sing that Palin isn’t running in 2012. Thus, Stevie boy is free to say something nice about Palin.

You know, if your business is consulting and guiding political campaigns and careers and you don’t have much success to show for your efforts - pissing off the other half of the party that has actually won a few elections might not be considered a wise career move. Just saying, this guys seems to part of the Arlen Spectre wing of the Republican party. Great job of managing the Dole part II campaign in 2008. I guess he was too young to remember the Dole campaign. Remember Dole reaching out to Jack Kemp as VP and then muzzling him. What a douche.

Screw you Schmidt. I can about guarantee that anyone you end up working for in 2012 will not get my vote on a cold day in h*ll.
