Lindsey Graham: I Won’t Let Ron Paul Hijack the GOP [YouTube Funs!]

This isn’t the best audio but more evidence of South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham’s complete dismissal of Ron Paul’s adherence to rigid constitutional government. Notice in the first video that instead of addressing the woman’s criticism head on, Graham simply asks her who she voted for in the presidential election. When she replied “Chuck Baldwin” Graham then attempts to marginalize her based on her support for the Constitution Party, slamming Paul in the process.

The following took place 10/12/09 at a town hall meeting in Greenville, SC:

Lindsey Graham is determined to run traditional libertarian and constitutionalist conservatives out of the GOP.

Graham is the fool that enraged his own base and got clowned in person, months before the Townhalls made that the cool thing to do? What a trendsetter!

Graham told the crowd there was nothing wrong with any conservative, and he wanted to build an open party that could win in Pennsylvania and Connecticut, as well as South Carolina.

“You’re a hypocrite!” one man yelled.

“I’m a winner, pal,” Graham shot back. “Winning matters to me. If it doesn’t matter to you, there’s the exit sign.”

“Ron Paul is not the leader of this party,” Graham said, prompting a few jeers. Some people yelled, “Yes, he is!”

“I’m not going to give this party over to people who can’t win,” Graham finished, drawing most of the crowd to its feet.

But U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint, who followed Graham, said he’d rather have 30 senators who stand on principle than 60 who have none.

At this point if the choice is between Graham and Paul I’ll take Paul.

Congressman Paul is not the most electable republican but that’s due in large part to his overwhelming honesty and failure to pander to special interests, combined with all the Giuliani style RINOs trying to silence him.
