Robert Reich Reveals Brutal Health Care Truths; MSM Snores
NewsBusters ^ | October 13, 2009 | P.J. Gladnick

Paging Congressman Alan Grayson! Here is a quote that validates what you said about those EVIL Republicans:

"We're going to have to, if you're very old, we're not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you maybe going for another couple of months. It's too expensive...so we're going to let you die."

Aha! So it turns out that Grayson was right when he said "Republicans want you to die quickly." Only one "little" problem here. That quote did not come from a Republican. In fact it came from the very liberal former Labor Secretary Robert Reich who is now an economics adviser for Barack Obama.

He wasn't joking. Reich was dead serious. And this is what the liberals REALLY want from ObamaCare. Reich's "mistake" was saying out loud in the open.

True, but the fact is, all these malignant a-holes are dead serious. This isn't just a couple zany fringers. This is a major entrenched challenge to the American way.

Note to the Republicans:

The average life span of an American born around 1900 was about 42 years. Today, it is over 80 years. If we had incorporated the Democrats’ mindset towards the ‘elderly’, where would average lifespan be today? And if we keep treating the elderly and making similar advances as came about in the past century, who is to say the life span might not continue to go upward from here?

There are so many simple arguments to destroy this Obamacare crap. We are so poorly represented, I cannot even believe it.

There is a grain of truth in all this though.

Medicare and SS are on a glide path to astounding deficit numbers which will cripple the economy and heavily burden our grandchildren.

Those who depend solely on government health care in their old age are going to be rationed away no matter what health care plan we wind up with. Of course Baraqqi care will make it worse quicker.

At any rate, people, RATS and Republican leaders alike are starting to talk publicly about what’s going on because they are finally realizing that our country is under attack by domestic enemies. And they’re scared for their children and grandchildren just like we are.

OK, not a lot of leaders are speaking up, but it is beginning. At some point it will reach critical mass, but they’d better hurry up.

Now, I’m beginning to like the little weasel!

If Congress wants to pass this health care legislation, then they need to forgo their “House doctor”s and medical care that is special to them. I don’t mean their insurance plans. I mean they need to get rid of the mini hospital that they have on Capitol Hill. And while we’re at it, the president doesn’t need a special doctor either. George Washington didn’t get anything special, and he was by far our greatest president. Our lawmakers are no more special than the rest of us. We don’t have royalty in this country. Why does our Congress think they should have medical care better than the rest of us? They should have to wait in line at doctors’ offices just like everybody else.

(I realize this is a little off topic, but RReich just makes me go on little tangents.)

I can’t argue that, but it if hadn’t branched off into Medicaid, and SS to giving it to anyone who needs income, even though they have never worked, not to mention people who could work but kept filing for disability when they are not disabled and taking the money out of the lock box like it was a rainy day fund, both would still be very viable. Add to all the the number of abortions over the years which translates into workers paying in.

A disgrace, as they are the very people who built this country, and brought us all those great innovations. This is the thanks we give them? The way we treat elderly in this country is a total disgrace.

Nascarnation:

You are correct. Medicare and SS will destroy the US economy as it is doing in other similar graying countries. So, it was inevitable that this was going to happen.

The problem was Democratic initiatives: Social Security and Medicare.

But all the Dems want to do is take it away from the elderly and give it to illegal immigrants, non-working minorities and labor unions. THAT is why is will cost over $1 trillion!!!!!

Hear, hear. I say all elected officials, celebrities, professional athletes, news staff, and all college professors in soft sciences and humanities, need to be placed on this proposed health care system for a minimum of five years. Then we can discuss if it should be made applicable to the rest of the citizens of this country.

Well, if I get old enough and sick enough and my health insurance no longer can meet all the expenses, then maybe it’s time to come home from the hospital and die.

But that’s a choice for me, my family, and my doctors to make. Not Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Hussein Obama.

And I know darn well that if this “healthcare” bill passes, I will lose what insurance coverage I have, which is pretty good after a lifetime of having earned it.

Oh, but you can bet that Robert Reich, his family, and just about everybody else who is ‘connected’ or wealthy is going to get as much healthcare as they need!
