These football players would be lucky to be on Limbaughs team...you know it would be first class everything1

He will do it with such class and probably win big!

Your major point is minor to the larger one I was trying to make.

Real creative, Karen! Couldn't even write a hit piece without lifting a theme from someone else.

LOL, you’re right. I think I put in one too many “majors” in the first sentence. Anyway, these leagues are basically private clubs given special “indulgences” by the government. As far as ownership goes, the league can reject an ownership bid for reasons that wouldn’t be tolerated or might not be legal in the real world. Thus, they could reject Limbaugh’s bid and use some vague justification for it (eg, the sale wouldn’t serve the best interests of the NFL at the present time) when in actuality they’re black-balling him for political reasons.

Years ago, in the early days of the Internet, friends and I would respond to particularly outrageous claims by saying, “Where did you read that? On the Internet?” because it was a source of crazy rumors that didn’t pan out. And I always said that I was frightened by the thought of children doing research on the Internet. While it’s a fantastic source of information, you need to verify everything and look at the sources before you can trust it.

OK so the press and the players union are opposed to Limbaugh buying into the Rams. So what? This is still supposed to be a country where the rule of law prevails, and Rush is free to pursue any business opportunity he wants to.
