To: Never on my watch
The 17-year old girl ran away from her parents' home in July, saying she feared being killed for changing religions. But a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation found no credible threats to Bary.

Since this girl is already 17, it is double and triply stupid to send her back to Ohio, to the state or her parents. She will be able to do whatever she chooses at 18, and nothing of importance is likely to happen in a few months being forced to reside again in Ohio (unless she happens to harmed by her parents).

Pointless and dumb, a decision made by people who probably do not understand the culture she came from.

I would not return — what can they do? Put her in jail?? Juvie? The family could adopt her. Boy, there are any number of options. Land of the Free and all that. They can do total mayhem in the few months she is back. Only takes about 1/2 hour to kill someone, I suspect.

If she is returned to her family she will be murdered even when/if she turns 18. She knew this because she was raised in this “religion”. To these people, sharia law overrules US law. She WILL be killed no matter how old she is. In their eyes she has “dishonored” her family and must die. So much for the “religion of peace”! What a travesty!!!
