what the media is not reporting: Snowe, upon announcing her support today, specifically said that this does not forecast her vote tomorrow.
Bottom line: When Reid proposes something worse than Baucus and CBO scores it, Snowe will be a NO vote.
You're absolutely right. A health care bill, no matter how onerous, could be reversed at a later time. 20-30 million new, uneducated, government dependent, liberal voters is something that cannot be rectified and will doom any thoughts of a "conservative" resurgence now or in the future.
You may e right about many of the GOP now in leadership positions being weak but WE the people are not weak and we won’t stand for it
I can’t. I have a sinking sinking feeling we are gonna be stuck with this healthcare deal with a public option.
I just have a terrible dread about it.
