My premise wasn't about evidence or belief, as I have explained several times now. It is simply that a fact is a fact, it is what it is, whether or not anyone proves it.
That such a fundamentally simple concept engenders such hostility and argument from a birther means one of two things:
1. They don't comprehend even the most basic logical concepts. (I don't believe this is really the case.)
2. They are unwilling to acknowledge even the most simple incontrovertible logical concepts, for fear the it might somehow undermine a birther argument.
Either option casts great doubt on the ability of the person to reason. Option 2, which is probably the one at work here, demonstrates a mind-boggling degree of intellectual dishonesty. There is no reasoning with such a person. They would argue against gravity if gravity hurt the cause.
