Technically, it’s an em dash, not a hyphen. :-)
I thought it was the “em dash” (the “en dash” is the one used for dates, right?), but wasn’t sure so I just called it the “long hyphen.” I know that the em dash isn’t really a type of hyphen, but I didn’t think that anyone would call me on it. : )
By the way, just wondering, what is it called when tweetle beetles battle with paddles in a bottle and the bottle’s on a poodle and the poodle’s eating noodles?
