It’s apparent in the tone of the e-mail Max sent to leaders of K-N-Patriots.org that he must have felt threatened by the sight of more than 250 patriotic Americans lined up along Highway K in O’Fallon, Mo., standing up against socialism and government-run health care (a.k.a., “ObamaCare”) and calling for a return to government of the people, by the people and for the people. Thanks to the free civics lesson he received in this three-minute video, he might see the light of day and join the grassroots effort to save the United States from the destructive forces of socialism.

Max is probably used to the typical urban system - where taxes are high and so much $$ flows to the local government that it appears that government can do practically anything and it's only evil conservatives who are preventing the benevolent largess.

Of course, the graft and corruption on a scale that would make the mafia jealous that occurs in the typical urban government is ignored, or justified, by these nutcases.

They prefer to live the illusion than open their eyes to the real world.

You will hear that alot from liberals. I have heard them make comments about how the tea party folks are protesting government yet they drive on the roads and have police protection that is paid for by taxes and that we are advocating anarchy. We don't protest the legitimate functions of government. What we are against is the government expansion into our private lives and businesses in ever increasing leaps and bounds

One possible retort is to have a liberal take a look at the condition of the roads. At least here in the snowbelt, they pretty much suck.

So if government can’t even do this job - one we all agree should be done and libs are using as an example - how the heck can they be trusted to do anything else?

And that’s not even considering the rest of the infrastructure crumbling from decades of leftists diverting the tax revenue to vote buying.

If a conservative doesn't like guns, they don't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, then no one should have one.. If a conservative is a vegetarian, they don't eat meat. If a liberal is, they want to ban all meat products for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy. A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, they quietly enjoy their life. If a liberal is homosexual, they loudly demand legislated respect.

If a black man or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful. Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims of brainwashing and traitors to their respective races. If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him. If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down. If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal wants any mention of God or religion silenced. If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that his neighbors pay for his.
