As AMERICAblog has reported, NBC's chief Washington, D.C. correspondent John Harwood says thataccording to the White Housethe president doesn't take today's Equality March seriously:
Barack Obama is doing well with 90% or more of Democrats so the White House views this opposition as really part of the Internet left fringe.
For a sign of how seriously the White House does or doesn't take this opposition, one adviser told me those bloggers need to take off the pajamas, get dressed, and realize that governing a closely divided country is complicated and difficult.
And here's the MSNBC video: http://tinyurl.com/ykbgd29
I'll take this with a grain of saltsince we're listening to Harwood's characterization of "one adviser."
That said, the Obama Administration isn't simply being calculated in addressing one issue at a timehe's so busy with everything on his plate, you know, he can't deal with DADTbut he truly doesn't give a s**t about LGBT people. His administration chose Rick Warren to give his inaugural invocation, his lawyers filed a homophobic legal brief defending DOMA, and now his advisers are marginalizing scores of Americanspeople including Altamiranoas pajama-clad fringe bloggers.
And when did it become such a sin to be blogger in pajamas?

George Bush once commented being President was hard work. He was mercilessly mocked for making such a statement.
The nice thing about pajamas is the footies keep your feet warm. And to think it wasn't that long ago the "pajama" meme was being used against Buckhead. Memes march on.
At least there might be one thing Obama has prioritized correctly.
Gays actually are a very small percentage of the electorate, and it’s hard to imagine that Obama’s actions will make them into a Republican voting block.
Oh an! President Joe Isuzu’s little Admin incompetants are really showing their true colors and lashing out at everyone like petulant children. Or as recentluy put: “like a bunch of whiney little crybabies!”
LOL! Sure! Go ‘head! Show us all how tough you are!

Don’t be too sure. Many gay men have high incomes, and are pretty shewd at following tax and fiscal policy.
strange how they concentrate on the first part of the sentence “pajamas” and miss the real truth in the last part - it IS complicated and difficult to govern the USA - partly because it is “a closely divided country”.
