Was Hayworth involved in shady dealings? Just wondering if McCain has any threats to use against him.

"Between 1999 and 2005, Hayworth received $69,000 from lobbyist Jack Abramoff and his clients, primarily from Indian tribes. $62,000 of the money went to TEAM PAC.
After Abramoff was convicted of defrauding the tribes, Hayworth decided to keep the donations. His chief of staff, Joe Eule, said to the Arizona Republic, "The tribes have told us, 'We love you. We loved you before we met Jack Abramoff, and we love you after Jack Abramoff, and we think it would be foolish of you to (give back) the money.'"
Hayworth was co-chairman of the Native American Caucus in Congress.

If that's the worst that can be said about Hayworth, compared to Traitor McCain's assault on the First Amendment, his cozying up to SEIU and ACORN, and his p*ssing on POW/MIA families, then Hayworth should win in a walk.

If I were on Hayworth's campaign staff, I would be pushing the slogan "After more than 20 years, John McCain has embraced liberal more than conservative positions, and has proven that he is UNWORTHY to hold the Senate seat that was held by the greatest Arizonan of all, the late Senator Barry Goldwater, It's Time For A Change"

Nothing to speak of. Rove physically threw Hayworth out of the White House at a congressional function when he refused to kowtow to the Bush amnesty scam. The GOP took their marching orders from Rove, and went out of their way to defeat Hayworth. This time it won’t work.
