What's Vidal's evidence of that? There are no college records, no Law Review articles, no ability to speak extemporaneously. The only thing we have to go on is the book which, as it turns out, Obama did not write. So in other words, we know zero about Zero's vaunted brilliance.

This old lefty `trousers-shark’ must be well into dementia, thinking of the Obama WH encouraging school children to sing devotionals to Dear Leader, like German children in the `30s. I don’t recall any of that fascist nonsense during the 8 years of the recent adult, late, great Republic.

What this means is that Obama is the first president we’ve had in a while that believes government knows all and can do all. Of course, Obama’s incompetence lies in his failure to use government to accomplish what his commie followers want, the complete collapse of American, imperialistic hegemony around the world and the destruction of capitalist, robber barons at home. In short, government can’t become the omniscient, omnipotent, absolute sovereign power dreamt of by the left as long as a trace of old America is still around. obama isn’t moving fast enough for this freak.
I love it when liberals call us “Hitler Youth,” the “Reichwing,” “Rethuglicans” and so forth. It makes us sound even more badass than we already are!

There’s an important error right at the beginning. Vidal is *not* a historian, but a “historical writer”. There is as much of a difference as between a medical doctor and an actor who plays a doctor on television.
