Three hostages and four kidnappers were killed in a rescue operation at Pakistan's military headquarters Sunday, an army spokesman said, adding that 25 hostages were freed. "Twenty five hostages have been freed. Three hostages and four terrorists were killed in the rescue operation," military spokesman Major General Athar Abbas told AFP.
"Mopping up and clearance operations are going on," he said.
Earlier Abbas told private TV channel GEO that security forces had entered the building.
"There was resistance and an exchange of fire, but most of the hostages were freed and the remaining are safe," he said.
