Think of it in terms of David Letterman. Criminals always accuse others of the very things they themselves are guilty of.

Letterman gleefully jokes about trists in a dugout with an underage girl, and we discover he's been schtupping the staff in a secret loft.

The writer calls conservatives "haters" then launches into a senseless screed of vitriol. Liberals never really become adults.
