Well, she is probably a world class diva. But the world abounds in those and the attendant was needlessly making an issue of it.

Most people just avert their eyes if this is disturbing. And I would not put one of those horrid airplane blankets over a baby. When I nursed I used a thin diaper or scarf to cover but if this diva chooses not to, nobody should have made an issue of it.

We are grown ups even if she isn’t.

You have no idea. There are women, and I've unfortunately seen them, that just let there breasts hang out. We had a woman in the neighborhood who did this (nursing a four year old). The kid would run over, pull her shirt up to her neck, suck for 20 seconds and then run off. The woman would continue, shirt up the entire time at the park running an open bar.

Peeing is natural, but I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that you would have an issue with a man that just whips it out at the park and starts peeing, and would not feel that you should have to accept it and just avert your eyes.

I support the idea of breast feeding, but if I had to sit 6 inches from a stranger breast feeding a 2 year old without a cover, I’d object!

No, grownups don’t think they should be allowed to do whatever they want to in public....grownups know that some activities are private, and that the rest of the world doesn’t have to be exposed to it. Grownups show restraint and concern for their fellow man.

So if you ever fly, and are seated next to a strange man who feels the need to unzip his fly to scratch his crotch (it itches, after all - and what is more natural than scratching an itch), I fully expect you to not make a big deal out of it. He shouldn't be forced into a restroom, or to try to scratch through his clothing. Or maybe the same fellow has to go potty, and since the restroom is "occupied", he just uses the now empty water bottle to relieve himself. Just avert your eyes. Maybe it is disturbing, but why make him hold it and maybe do damage to his urinary tract.

I strongly suspect that this situation was escalated by the breastfeeding mother who wanted to play the exhibitionist. Arguing with a flight attendant can be grounds for being put off a flight.
