Flu came to my home yesterday. Doc appointment this afternoon.
Oddly this is the first time I’ve scheduled a doctor appointment for the flu.

I would say the first 72 hrs are the worst. If you can avoid getting really really sick during that time, it should pass quickly.

Unfortunately, I am an asthmatic and have a long history with pneumonia (now 9 times) and the flu just weaken me enough for the pneumonia to return.

If you know you have the flu, why would you waste your time going to the doctor? So he can say, yeah, you have the flu. Go home, rest, drink liquids and you’ll be better in a week. That’ll be $200 please?Oh, and don’t forget the other hundred dollars at the drug store for useless cough syrup and toxic tamiflu that will MAYBE cut 1-2 days off the symptoms IF you start it in time! If he’s a really useless doctor, he’ll give you an antibiotic for a virus as well- just in case- so you think your trip was worth the while. Unless you are experiencing symptoms that require immediate medical care (breathing distress/dehydration, etc..) going to a doctor is a waste of time, money and only prolongs and spreads the disease.
