I’m one of those rare birds, a black conservative Republican

Obama is far from being a Conservative, so, WHY would a Conservative Republican vote for Obama? Something isn't right about this story....the only answer would be "RACE", which proves what many have said all along...the blacks turned out to vote for Obama for one reason - Race - not because they thought Obama had the ability to run the country.

Yes, of course it’s because of his race. Like it or not, many people just do that: they vote because the candidate shares a same religion, race, background, and so on... She is a Republican, but she is also Black. When she has to choose, sometimes she chooses her political leaning (which, according to her, often), but sometimes her race—especially in an important instance like last year.
