DAVE's $300 MILLION DIVORCE (Enquirer says Mrs Letterman going for the kill)
National Enquirer ^ | 10/08/2009 | staff

David Letterman's sensational sex scandal has triggered a $300 million divorce war between the 62-year-old talk-show host and his outraged wife Regina, say sources close to the star.

The couple - who lived together for years before marrying March 19 - are fighting over everything from his extensive property holdings to custody of their son Harry, 6, according to insiders.

"It's become a real battle," revealed a Late Show insider.

"Regina is humiliated, and she wants to get even with David for his public admission he cheated on her repeatedly during their 23-year relationship."

The ENQUIRER was told the kinky late-night host maintained a fully equipped love nest, likes to play "dress up" - and even had a girlfriend parade around with a set of pom-poms pretending to be a cheerleader.

Letterman owns a very successful production company - ironically named Worldwide Pants - plus a fortune in real estate, and boasts an annual income of more than $45 million.

The NE didn't just get the Edward's story right. Two of them caught him coming out of the side door of the hotel in LA at 2 AM. The hotel where his girlfriend was staying.

When they asked him a question, he turned and went back through the lobby, trying to get away, when two more NE staff block his exit there.

The NE pays people for tips, photos, quotes, etc. It's well known in LA and NYC that you can make some bucks for a big story.

It's not every day your husband stands before millions of people and confess he's been unfaithful.

No, not every single day, but often enough. I wonder when Regina first realized he is a scumbag. The fact that he didn't marry her way back may have been a hint.

Hillary chose to "stand by her man" despite the international scandal. She clearly was driven by her own ambitions to the extent that she would hang on to a husband who gravely humilated her. Good lesson for their daughter? No!

I hope Dave pays a heavy price for his sleaze.

Go, Regina!

Revenge is sweet against a back stabbing husband at any cost, I would imagine. They had a pre-nup so Dave worked it all out ahead of time.

People defending Dave's actions say that he wasn't Married when he had the affairs, which in their minds makes it OK.

What they fail to mention is that Dave did have some of the affairs after the birth of his Son.

If Regina is actually divorcing him, she has a lot of ammo. I don't think it will be an issue that they have only been Married less than a year.

$300 million just for the humiliation.
The other $300 million for alimony and child support.
A fool and his money soon parts.

A fool and his money PANTS soon parts.
LL!
Paybacks are a *!tch....Eh Dave?
What were you sayin' about Gov. Palin's kids?

CBS is looking at hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements right now. John Edwards-types are drooling into their martinis! Short SeeBS! Fire up the popcorn maker!

It’s just possible this is essentially true, but consider the source of the National Enquirer.

What are you talking about? The National Enquirer is fairly respectable as printed papers go in the US. After all, it's not like they're the New York Times or something like that.

I do have a BIG problem with the little fools who pay, promote, watch, and adore this idiot so that he can amass a fortune worth 300 million dollars? Something is drastically wrong with this picture.....

True, but ... are you going to insist, like some fools here, that he should be censored, or are you going to let the free market work as it should and not watch him. No advertising revenue, no show.

I don't watch any US TV. Let it all wither on the vine.

I am saying that this is a supermarket tabloid.

With a better recent record of journalism than the New York Times. And your point is?

... are you referring to Dave or Regina?

I don't know what Dave finds attractive in women but it is certainly different from my taste.

Yep, what goes around comes around. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, LOL. I wish I could sincerely say I’m sorry.
