One of the major powers in the conservative movement, I forget who just now, made a comment that I think nails it.

He said the birther thing should go on a back burner because even if it is proved to be that Obummer, the Marxist now posing as a Fascist, was born in a manner not consistent with the requirements of the Constitution, the court fight would be so protracted that it would not be settled soon enough to make any difference.

In other words, the court fight could last beyond the legal length of his term. Note that I qualified my description of the length of his term.

That politician's point is that we should put all of our effort into keeping Obummer, the Marxist now posing as a Fascist, from getting his agenda into law.

Fighting in court for 3 or more years with the distinct possibility that the birthers would lose is a misuse of resources.

Birthers can't lose if they have the evidence???

Well look at what happened to bondholders in the GM and Chrysler deal.

The Supreme Court's ruling in that matter was unfathomable to anyone who understands contract law and the purpose of the bond market.

That said, I do think the birther thing is important. But it should be left to history. We have urgent battles that must be won within the next few weeks. There is no way there can be a determination of the birther questions in time to disrupt legislation now on the floor of congress.

Thank you for the support. I feel the same. I agree that it is important, but look at how long this Acorn business is taking. This issue would be much, much worse.

Here’s what any conservative politician should say when mockingly asked if they support “birthers”:

” I don’t know where Obama was born. I do know that I don’t like the fact that he is spending a million dollars supressing all his personal information such as original long form b/c, college admissions/transcripts/theses, complete medical records, adoption records, passport records, selective service records, baptismal records etc etc. I don’t like the fact that nobody is directly asking him “why”. This information is available for all other presidents and it is disturbing that he is blocking the public access to his records.”

True it will no be solved in the short term but if he iws not legit then all he has done should be overturned after. The issue should still be pursued.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

It is entirely possible to chew gum and walk at the same time.

Ok...So?...Let's say the court battle rages beyond the time that Obama can be president. If he is found ineligible, he will have **criminally** defrauded the American people out of millions of dollars in campaign contributions.

That sounds like jail time to me not only for Obama but for all those who helped him, and this would be an object lesson that would deter others from trying the same scam.
