Why do you try to peddle a hit piece from the Sac Bee that Hugh hewitt already debunked it ?
Whitman was a CEO of Ebay and traveled internationally and was road warrior for decades plus a MOm , wife etc.. . She said she missed a few elections so do most road warriors and people that travel.

The Obama state media made wildd false claims about her voting records which were either wrong or the info was not available to confirm .

The Sac Bee is a McCathey Dem party run outfit.

Why are you so concerned about trashing Whitman and peddling the OBama state media lies is the real question here ?

Agree with you on Ruby, but can you name for me a more conservative electable alternative?

Although the question was meant for you, Rabs, I hope you don't mind if I put in my two cents.

Grunthor, as far as I'm concerned, a "more conservative electable alternative" is wholly irrelevant.

Your own tagline validates it.

I am in California; I regret daily that I didn't let Bustamonte win and refrain from voting for Arnold; I voted for Arnold because I believed that there wasn't a "more conservative electable alternative," "electable" being the operative word. Arnold got elected, and he has been much WORSE for California, the U.S.A., and the GOP than his liberal racist opponent, Democrat Cruz Bustamonte would have been.

Meg Whitman can kiss my ass. She ain't gettin' my vote. She, like Romney, advocates "leaner" government. Thoughtless people think that "leaner" is the equivalent of "less," but that is wrong. When something becomes "lean," it becomes stronger and more efficient. God save us from "leaner" government and the misguided Republicans who push it. We need LESS GOVERNMENT.

Sorry, Hugh Hewitt, who for years was among my top three favorite radio hosts, has as much a misguided agenda as the leftist Sac Bee; neither has credibility.

Given the alternative is Jerry Brown, she is the best the pack in CA has to offer...

Then let Jerry Brown win. In the long run, he'll do less damage to the GOP and California, and leave a lot more room for fixing and cleaning the mess than when Whitmans and Scharzeneggers make the messes and deliver near-mortal blows to the Republican party and conservatism on a level that Democrats and Liberals couldn't even begin to match.

I've already gone the path you advocate and voted for RINOs for the reason you cite. Arnold has taught me a valuable lesson. I am applying what I learned, and will urge others to do what I do: REFUSE TO VOTE FOR BIG GOVERNMENT REPUBLICANS because they are, in the long run, the bigger danger.

what are talking about ?
Hewitt outed the Sac Bee as a left wing propaganda machine.

Why do the people peddle the Obama state media lies when they find it convenient to trash a GOP person thye do niot like .

If the CA leftist state media is that scared of Whitman then she can win which is why they are on FULL BLOWN attack mode.
I’d rather have Whitman than Moon beam Jerry Brown any day.

The other GOPer in the race is Pozner who donated to the Al Gore 2000 recount fund TWICE !
I can handle Whitman when she was CEO of Ebay sucking up to Boxer then someone donating to Al Gore and his recount anyday !

APOLOGY is probably due to you, Az Carolyn -- you didn't advocate any path or cite any reasons. I just jumped on what I thought was implied -- that because Whitman "is the best the pack in CA has to offer," that therefore Republicans in California shouldn't reject her. Sorry that I misrepresented you, as you clearly didn't state that in your post, and actually didn't even particularly imply it! I confess that I was using your post as a forum to make my point, which still stands: I have learned the hard way that when elected, Republicans like Whitman, Romney, Schwarzenegger, and McCain are MORE DAMAGING long-term to the GOP and American liberty than their liberal Democrat opponents would be if they were elected instead.

I'd rather see Jerry Brown the victor than Meg Whitman.

I never moved to California. I was born here -- so was my mother, both her parents, three of her grandparents, and I think all of her great-grandparents.

Hugh moved here. He would like to bring Whitman here. He thinks Romney is wonderful. I was once inclined to think the same BECAUSE Hugh, who I used to respect very highly, thought Romney was wonderful. Then I started to actually hear and understand Romney's own words and policies independent of Hugh's Pollyanna moderate filter. Then I began to see all that mud on my otherwise beloved Hugh's feet. Hugh is an elitist pointy-headed intellectual who is a registered Republican.

He may be anti-abortion, but "conservative" he is not. As far as I'm concerned, he's not a Californian, either. He's a midwestern moderate who lives in California.

You haven't learned a thing from Arnold, have you?

You still haven’t answered the question. Why did Meg herself admit that she has a poor voting record? Until you answer that question, I’m not going to entertain your theory that the Sac Bee is out to get her.

You’re unhinged. If you want to vote for a liberal Republican like Meg Whitman, go for it. I prefer conservatives, which is why Meg will not get my vote.

There is no conservative in Ca that has the money and connections to win !
That is a fact .
Live in the world we live in and not wished to live in.
Whitman is the only Repub that can win in 2010.
Sad but true and she is the only that will stop Jerry Brown
Thus the reason the Obaam state media is trying to destroy her !
You don’t see any media HIT Pieces on Pozner or even Moon Beam !

Go for it. Vote for her; no one is stopping you. You’re the one ranting and raving, which isn’t going to change anyone’s mind.

I will vote in the primaries, against her, and then if she’s our party’s nominee, I will not vote.

My reasons for not voting for her:

1. She ruined eBay. I know too many sellers (who can’t wait to vote against her) whose small businesses she ruined by instilling large fees against them. Plus, the policies and regulations she put into place made it impossible for a seller to get a fair shake. Her rules always benefited the buyer and punished the seller.

2. She’s a Romney protege. Romney is a liberal elite Republican and so is she.

3. She was on Glenn Beck’s show and told him she was against off-shore drilling. She’s a “green” politician and that tells me she’s fallen for that propaganda.

4. She raved about Van Jones, which shows a poor judge of character on her part.

5. She gave Boxer $4,000 for her 2004 campaign and endorsed her. Yep, she’s a liberal.

6. She ADMITTED to a poor voting record.

We got screwed over with Arnold and she would be just as bad as him.

As far as I’m concerned, I see no difference between Meg Whitman or Jerry Brown. They’re both liberal progressives and they’ll both be bad for California.

I wipe my hands from that race. If I can’t stop her in the primaries, I’ll leave that portion of the ballot blank.

Unlike you, I’m a conservative FIRST and I happen to belong to the Republican party. That doesn’t mean I owe the GOP anything, including my vote.

Principle over party, always.

I met Palin in Carson City NV !
She is great.

Calif can not elect a conservative unless they are real famous and real rich.
Meg is both but a Rhino but she is not a dangerous radical like Moon beam Brown !
