"..Obamas job approval has also gone up among independents. Fifty-three percent said they approved of the presidents job performance, a nine point increase since September. Even more strikingly, the percentage of independents who said they disapproved plunged 16 points, from 53 percent last month to 37 percent now..."
That smells.

Attention all Freepers. Quit worrying about polls a year before the mid terms and three years before the Presdential election. It is just a silly, meaningless exercise.

This poll can at least tell us what the trend is. If he's hovering around 50% with “adults” the likely voter numbers looking ahead to 2010 probably look pretty ugly for the Obamacrats.

The AP is run by an avowed Obama GROUPIE.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the people who put Obama in office. He isn’t president because the American public makes intelligent decisions.

Just for comparison's sake:
Gallup poll of adults at the equivalent point in Bush's presidency.
Oct 8-9, 2001 Bush Approval: 92%, Disapproval: 6%, Unsure: 1%. Numbers do not equal 100% due to rounding.

Wow. So the economy goes down when Obama gets popular. IT pretty much fits the picture in a weird kind of way.

Why don’t they poll how many people are screwed up in the U.S.? Most people seem as if they are out in space someplace!

I don`t pay much attention to polls given that they can be so easily skewed.Just the wording of the questions can do it,let alone the other factors.

The old guard media can rig all the polls they want, but as long as they can’t rig election results, it’s not going to do them any good. Hopefully, it might lull some Democrat voters, and maybe even a Democrat candidate or two into false senses of security.

Let me clarify. Following the current polling is not silly. Worrying about them is.
