AP Poll: Obama’s job approval rises amid concerns

An Associated Press-GfK poll says 56 percent of those surveyed in the past week approve of Obama’s job performance, up from 50 percent in September. It’s the first time since he took office in January that his rating has gone up.

"..Obama’s job approval has also gone up among independents. Fifty-three percent said they approved of the president’s job performance, a nine point increase since September. Even more strikingly, the percentage of independents who said they disapproved plunged 16 points, from 53 percent last month to 37 percent now..."

This poll can at least tell us what the trend is. If he's hovering around 50% with “adults” the likely voter numbers looking ahead to 2010 probably look pretty ugly for the Obamacrats.

Why don’t they poll how many people are screwed up in the U.S.? Most people seem as if they are out in space someplace!

I don`t pay much attention to polls given that they can be so easily skewed.Just the wording of the questions can do it,let alone the other factors.

The old guard media can rig all the polls they want, but as long as they can’t rig election results, it’s not going to do them any good. Hopefully, it might lull some Democrat voters, and maybe even a Democrat candidate or two into false senses of security.

Let me clarify. Following the current polling is not silly. Worrying about them is.
