Juries have the right to ignore the directions of the court and to find a person who may be factually guilty of a crime "not guilty" because in their own hearts they either do not believe he should be punished for that crime or they believe that the law is not proper or just or right. The Jury is the final determiner of the law and juries have an intrinsic right to determine that a law ought not to be enforced by finding a person who has violated that law to be not guilty. It would seem to be worthwhile to protest outside courthouses every single working day, with signs imploring juror to weigh the laws application. It would only take maybe 10 people per court jurisdiction, to do this year around. It would make a huge difference.

It would make a huge difference.Especially once the cat was out of the bag and people found out that they're actually constitutionally expected to do this. Then the people would be more empowered relative to their out-of-control servants on this issue, and we could move on to another issue.
