I'm with you. It was out of bounds. Better to be classy.
She's Sheila Johnson, founder of BET and prominent Democratic Donor. She was one of Tim Kaine's biggest funders. It is significant that she's given bazillions to Democrats and has supported ONE Republican.
While her remarks were unfortunate and inappropriate, they were not directed at anyone with a real speech impediment. They were in reaction to the embarrassing video of Deeds trying to explain his position on taxes. His position was so illogical that his tongue got all tangled up trying to defend it.
All that being said, Sheila Johnson is a donor, not a campaign official. And, she has apologized.

This is the Deeds’ campaign response to the RGA ad slamming the Democrat for his disastrous post debate interview, if I were the RGA I would run that ad until election day.
I wasn’t referring to Bob McDonnell. I was addressing this to all who are justifying the making fun of someone stuttering because the bad guys do it.
Fair enough.
