When I was on Metformin I called it “MeFartin”. It can be hard on the GI tract.
My sister takes Glucophage but not until after she had a recurrence of her breast cancer.
I don't know if anyone else has had the experience of being hit pretty hard with chemo and radiation that you were left with a whole host of other medical problems? My sister ended up with diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis after her last treatments.
Wow, this is good news! Thanks for posting.
I’m the same way. Does Metformin do anything different, than Actos where Type II is concerned?
Thanks neverdem.
My wife takes Metformin. Wait until she hears about this!
Thank you for the info...

BTTT
I was the same way. First I was on glucophage, then glucovance, and finally I was put on Actoplus Met. The Actoplus Met was just right. A lot less stomach upset, and the combo of actos and metformin is more helpful on blood sugar.
The doctor gave that to me but I quit taking it because it made me feel really lethargic. No other side effects but since I drive alot I didn’t think it was such a good idea. I don’t think my problem was that serious, blood sugar was 118. I am trying not to eat carbs.
