Social Security is something like $12 Trillion in the hole. Medicare is around $19 Trillion and sinking faster as I write. So now zero and the Democrats want to establish another entitlement that is expected to put us another $9 Trillion further in debt?
Accountability may rear its ugly head with next years elections.
I guess the rubber meets the road when no one but the Fed will buy our debt,or are we there already?
You can’t beat somebody with nobody. We need candidates who are on the same page with us. Apparently not easy to find, or when they are located the media savages them right out of the box.
Your numbers are low. The latest Trustees Reports show the unfunded liability for Medicare alone is $89 trillion. Social Security adds another $15.1 trillion in unfunded liabilities, for a total of $104 trillion. And that doesnt even count Medicaid. The entire American economy right now produces only about $14 trillion a year.
By 2014, five year from now, 45% of all Medicare expenditures will come from the General Fund. By law, 75% of the costs of Medicare Parts B and D come from the General Fund now. With the number of people 65 and over expected to double by 2030, the current system is unteneable.
Yep, a lot of local Government are collecting less tax revenue and going to have to cut their budgets,
the Democrats robbing the economy to fund their Stimulus bill is a Democrat made disaster for the Nation
