From a philosophical standpoint, Statists don’t have a sense of humor....tyranny is serious business after all.
Any jokes to bring humility to the self appointed illuminati is anathema to the Statist. They want the leaders they appoint to promote central planning to be above reproach and Godlike.
Imus is great about picking on the powerful and tearing them down to size. He got in trouble when he picked on the helpless underdog who were minding their own business.

I'll pass on Imus, thanks. I tried to listen to his radio show on several occasions before he got sh*tcanned. Imus can make a hour of listening to the radio seem like you've wasted ten days out of your life that you'll never get back. Listening to storm static on the AM band is a more rewarding experience.
His radio show was a combination of no amusement, no educational value, and no excitement, all delivered by a old guy who sounds like he's talking through a mouth full of marbles.
And Imus just isn't going to be any better on TV. There's no way it can happen. Don should quit deceiving himself.
Don ought to retire now, and spare his audience his feeble attempts at humorous repartee. His broadcasting skills have always been sub-par, and they're just not getting any better with advancing age.
