The only factor he left out is that multiculturalism doesn’t really believe all cultures are equal. They believe all other cultures are superior to ours. It’s based not on respect for other cultures (about which as Mark point out they seldom know anything), but on contempt for ours.
For that matter, they seldom know much of anything about our history, culture, etc.
Imagine being able to do that without notes or a teleprompter, and in the process being both informative and entertaining.
Steyn touches on something that I’ve often thought about. The only places where multiculturalism is taken seriously, and taking place, is in the Western nations. How’s multiculturalism coming along in China or India, or dozens of smaller nations? It’s not to any meaningful degree. Only the West has bought in to this nonsense, but other cultures are happy to use it to their advantage when criticizing the West, or when they want to immigrate to the West.
