Obama Eyes Economic Triage Aimed at Unemployed (more stimulus BS)

The Obama White House has begun talks with congressional Democratic leaders on moves to extend health insurance subsidies, the $8,000 first-time home buyer tax credit and jobless benefits, congressional and administration officials told FOX News late Friday.

These moves were recently pulled together by White House economic advisers as an act of economic triage aimed at millions of chronically unemployed Americans. The White House is loathe to call this emerging package a second economic stimulus.

Even so, President Obama tipped his hand that something was coming in Friday remarks on the economy in the Rose Garden.

"I'm working closely with my economic advisors to explore any and all additional options and measures that we might take to promote job creation," Obama said after the Labor Department reported that 263,000 Americans lost jobs in September and the unemployment rate rose to 9.8 percent.

He didn't get the Olympics, so now he has to ram another Daley payoff through congress in the form of more "stimulus". These people are scum.

He can’t come up with an excuse that people will believe. “If we don’t push this through, unemployment will reach 11%.”

I don’t even think he cares whether anyone believes him or not. He’ll say it anyway. And pelotosis and gReid will figure out a slimey, sneaky, underhanded way to do it.

All Options EXCEPT tax cuts, less gov’t interference in business, energy expansion, domestic oil production, environmental restriction elimination, less gov’t spending etc etc etc... In other words, all liberal socialist progressive options, that have historically failed every single time, are on the table.

The problem is that the administration only reports on NEW applicants for unemployment benefits along with those already drawing unemployment, which yields the 9.8% figure.

They conveniently leave out all of the people who are unemployed, have not been able to find jobs and their periods of being eligible to draw unemployment benefits have expired.

The REAL unemployment rate is now around 17%, based on numerous articles all over the internet on the subject.

This White House is spinning out of control.

They have too many fires to put out and they are not using water but gasoline.

In three more months Obama will be wondering why the “stimulus” isn’t working. It will also be the one year anniversary of Obama taking over and looking back at his “accomplishments”. In one year’s time, with complete control of Congress, it will be interesting to see how they’ll paint it. The, “I inherited this mess from Bush” has run its course.

We haven't had a 10 year downturn in 75 years.

It will destroy him, and his party.

Just when I think Barry's stupid-o-meter is pegged and can't possibly go any higher, somehow he manages to crank it up to 11...

When the liberal mind sees failure of a liberal plan, it is always attributed to not doing enough of the failed activity, or spending enough money increasing the size of the failed program.

We are literally being ruled by evil morons.

Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
