Rahm Emanuel: Olympic critics get seats

Republicans have been ready with criticism for President Barack Obama's overnight journey to Copenhagen, where the president today pressed Chicago's case for the 2016 Olympic Summer Games -- playing booster, as the Republican National Committee put it this morning, for Obama's "Chicago Fat Cat Friends.''
RNC Chairman Michael Steele, Sen. Kit Bond of Missouri and then House Republican Leader John Boehner of Ohio all have questioned the president's priorities.
And even as the president and First Lady Michelle Obama were leaving Copenhagen this morning following their appeal to the International Olympic Committee, the Republican National Committee was circulating an email complaining of the White House's "wrong priorities" (see that below the fold.) The RNC chairman today, chiding the president for "verbal gymnastics'' in Copenhagen, noted the newest numbers on rising unemployment back home (see below as well.)
Rahm Emanuel, the Chicagoan who is chief of staff for Obama, has an answer: "You know, we'll make sure they get some good seats once Chicago does host the games.''

“At a rally in Daley Plaza, Obama drummed up enthusiasm for the bid. He said: ‘In 2016, I’ll be wrapping up my second term as president, so I can’t think of a better way than to be marching into Washington Park alongside Mayor Daley, alongside Rahm Emanuel, alongside Dick Durbin, alongside Valerie Jarrett as President of the United States, and announcing to the world, ‘Let the games begin!’”
Umm, zero - you’re not going to be announcing anything during the 2016 Olympics.

The Guardian Newspaper in England said the Obamas were humiliated on the International Stage and that Hussein was "all style and no substance".
Ya gotta love it!

Huh! Rahm must not believe in term limits. I do. For BO, I figure about one fifth of one term should be enough. Hey, kid, quit while your adoring worshipers will still let you out of town without feathers.

It’s a great picture...I think it was taken at some liberal thing in Boston when Kerry was defeated by Bush...all the crying in the cold rain after the fact.
I love seeing dumb ass liberals melting down.

Just goes to show: you can take the organizer out of Chicago but you can’t take Chicago out of the organizer.
In Chicago politics everything is Pay for Play.
And so it goes for the White House where Rhambo plays a very hardball game of retribution for those who don’t pay.
