It's silent, in black and white, and only 20 seconds long, but the only known film footage of Anne Frank has already had an international impact since hitting the Internet Wednesday.
Shot on July 22 1941 almost exactly a year before the Frank family went into hiding the film captures the wedding day of the girl who "lived on the second floor at Merwedeplein 39.

Someone ought to send this to Rep. Grayson to remind him that the Holocaust consisted of cold-blooded murder and is not something to trifle with and use for cheap political attacks.

I hope Ahmanutjob watches this.
That is still pretty sad.
God Rest the souls of the Frank Family.
I have been keeping up with the RealTime posts. I didn’t know there was any film of her before this.
outstanding film quality, this is priceless!
Miep Gies who hid the Franks, turned 100 this year.
This is so sad. What worries me also is the neat clean orderly streets and carefully maintained buildings. If such a horror could occur in that environment what can we have festering in streets where people do not care enough to take care of the street where they live.
Never forget.
I love her, I miss her, it makes me want to cry.
Just to clarify, although perhaps I am the only one confused - until I read the caption when it loaded up the second time. Anne Frank in the upper window, and her neighbor is the one getting married.
Yes - great quality, but I couldn’t get the sound to work! ;)
It’s priceless just for that glimpse into 1940s Amsterdam, even without that beautiful vivacious girl whom the nazi bastards snatched away.
If I understand the story correctly, this happened in Amsterdam, and the nazis were occupiers. I remember row upon row of the same clean tidy apartment blocks from my visit there in 1996.
p.s. They hate the frigckin germans in Holland to this day.

July 22, 1941 was exactly one month after the Nazis invaded the Soviet Union and a few days before Japan occupied French Indochina. But the Netherlands looks deceptively peaceful.
Can’t say I blame em.
