In this case, it's more and more likely that Rio de Janeiro will win. And it will win with one VERY good reason: because Rio is only one time zone ahead of the US Eastern Time Zone, that means just about every event during the Games can be broadcast live to at least the eastern half of the USA.

(An expert called it the “biggest shock in IOC history.” Supporters gathered in Chicago were equally shocked. Many left the rally in tears.) - Oh brother, talk about ego! Who gives a s*** where the Olympics are? I’m glad they’re not coming to the US. Now that this is over, the POTUS has nothing to do and no where to go...

The IOC did Chicago and American taxpayers a favor...the Olympics are a HUGE financial loser...even the ‘84 L.A. Olympics that were reported to be a financial gain failed to report the millions it cost for SECURITY...I went to the boxing at the Shrine auditorium...for free(friend who worked at ABC gave me tix); the Shrine auditorium was EMPTY. And besides the opening & closing ceremonies, everyone stayed home and watched it on TV.

Zero means just that! Zero! This fraud is a nothing, a zip, a walking nada. He’s accomplished nothing on his own. He’s never run a business. He’s a well spoken leech. This rejection is one of the few good things that have happened to Chicago in a long time. (so in reality BO did them a favor) (Daley must be pissed)

Well, I guess the libs have found out exactly how much Obama's personal intervention is worth on the global stage.
To: RobinMasters
people were leaving the rally in tears? You’ve got to be kidding me...it’s just the Olympics. An event of that magnitude would have been a disaster with the city if it can’t handle the tourists, etc..
To: RobinMasters
I have a theory that all of his foreign visits this past year were designed to help drum up votes for the olympics in Chicago and of course this trip by his wife and Oprah was the 2 seconds left on the clock field goal attempt that missed.
If there's anything to my theory, it may be evidenced by a severe reduction in Obama's future jaunts abroad.......just thinking, thats all.

No Olympics for Chicago.
Now, fly back to D.C. and get back to work.
