Iran agreed to allow UN access to a new nuclear plant at talks with international powers which included its highest level encounter with the United States in three decades, officials said.
Representatives of the Western powers, which have threatened new sanctions over what they suspect is a bomb-making programme, expressed cautious optimism over the Geneva negotiations. The two sides agreed to meet again this month, officials said.
But in Washington US President Barack Obama called on Iran to take "constructive" steps after the talks and warned that Washington was ready to up pressure if Tehran used delay tactics.
Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki also described the talks as "constructive" but again defended his country's "absolute" right to uranium enrichment.

Oh, how nice of them. You mean they're going to let us see the one they lied about but it not yet ready to process uranium? How about they open up the one that's already processing uranium to REAL inspection.

So, all the bad guys need to get more good and candies are just leaking a bit that they are involved in somewhat nuclear-related project. The West will come immediately offering them whatever they want if they just allow some inspector to come and check once in a while. In the meantime, the bad guys just move the stuff somewhere else, and then the scenario repeats itself.

Iranian negotiators agreed in principle to ship part of their stockpile of enriched uranium to be reprocessed in Russia and France to create new fuel rods for an aging medical-research reactor in Tehran, Western officials said
In my dreams, I see Israel bombing the UN, after they're done nuking Iran.
Inspectors are not detectives..they inspect what they are given, they do not inspect what they cannot see ..like with Saddam. The WMD's that were never found, but now are mentioned freely in the story of the recent terrorist plot in NYC and their dud WMDs.
When it seems too easy..you wonder.
They will ask politely whether we wish to enrich the uranium to weapons grade for them, for a modest fee.
They really don't care who makes the rope, just so it gets made and into their hands.
If it isn't obvious, the new point is they have weighed our leaders again and found them wanting, and have concluded they can do whatever they like.
That is why you see things like Ahmadinejad denying the holocaust in New York, and Chavez asking for help building his own nukes, and both of them announcing new weapons purchases from Russia. They are saying, "we can do whatever we please, you know it and we know it, you aren't going to do a damn thing."
And they are right.
Shell game. Look, see, nothing here! Meanwhile, my other dozen ————.
Churning good and bad news keeps oil prices higher (and Israel *maybe* off their backs) than just having no nuke news.
