"...is something we never expected to find in the human lineage"

My problem is how can they really know that this specific creature is in human lineage? Evolution has become an unfalsifiable model and is the assumed methodology in almost all of these studies; the model is just modified anytime something challenges it. As long as there is some similarity between any two specimens, they must be related. It's like listening to Paul Krugman who operates on government intervention as the main model; whenever evidence goes against it, the intervention wasn't enough or applied in the right way.

Evolution is most definitely falsifiable, as it would not be recognized in its current form by its earliest adherents. It is creation “science” that is not falsifiable by definition, and hence not science at all.
