Those developers' letting those properties get further run-down will be shown to have been prescient, as the city snaps them up under eminent domain at a hefty profit for the crony developers. And of course, any deficit the city runs for the Olympics will just have to be sucked up by the city inhabitants.

The mayor knows the Daley Machine may take a popularity hit, but ultimately, their positions of power are not threatened. They think it's far more important to line their pockets during a Democrat administration, while the gettin's good.

Reaching out to Barry and Michelle to seek this payback is a real chit in the big game being cashed in. Shouldn't we spend a least a little time wondering what little ACORNs were squirreled away to make that chit?
