All the rhetorical excess of his opinion piece is to say: “Pass healthcare Reform.”
Within that term itself we have the problem of the entire leftist agenda and the media that allows them to propagandize.
They have the majority and it is so noxious and poisonous that even they can’t pass it.
First of all, it is not REFORM. Reform is careful, prudent and evolutionary change meant to preserve what is good in a system. This sort of leftist agenda is Revolution, Takeover, Socialism or Re-Invention — certainly not reform.
Second, it is a program wholely unsuitable for the Federal Government and its Constitution. Our Federal system is meant for states to have the general government to address broad issues like this, not the limited Federal Government.
Where the Federal Government has stuck its nose into healthcare what has been its track record? Medicare and Medicade, even with state involvment left-handedly have been finacial disasters. Federal mandates of other health measures have been pure idioatic excess and driven costs up for items like a Russian Interpreter (or others as needed) available, on-call for every hospital.

Woe, Be gone....
Col. McCormick must be turning over in his grave.
He looks like just another gay movie reviewer...
I didn’t read the article carefully, I admit, but the link doesn’t seem to have the same article y’all are discussing?
Oh sorry. The article was boring and hopscotched from place to place like a 7 YO with ADHD and I didn’t catch the part at the end.
