I fear that Romney or Huckabee is “the one” the press intends to select for “us” in 2012.
I put “us” in quotes because I am damn sure NOT a republican anymore. They’re doing a little better but they have a ways to go to get out of the wilderness.
That’s where I’m at. The GOP is neither liberal or conservative. They have the feel of ‘appropriators’, not people with a unifying set of principals. That’s why you get the whole ‘big-tent, kill the young and old is OK bit from Steele’.
