"they cannot get you for citing the Supreme law of the Land as law, now can they?"

In a college debate or a Heritage Foundation symposium, perhaps not. Debate against political thuggery in an open forum with few rules of civility and no rules governing acknowledgment of valid arguments, 'they' can 'get' you with any political point they wish to assert.

But, should that happen, I should expect the People to realize that it was for purely political reasons... and respond forcefully.
