What would be 2-3 critical changes in law that would make VA better over the long haul, despite who holds power?

  1. Ceding Arlington back to DC.

  2. Changing the election laws such that a multi-year residency is required before voting in Virginia state or local elections.

Yes. This is quite doable. When do you start?

2. Changing the election laws such that a multi-year residency is required before voting in Virginia state or local elections.

Don't see how that could pass Constitutional muster. Our voting rights are so broad and broadly construed. Most judges are strongly biased in favor of allowing more democracy, not less.

I think creating an ID requirement makes sense. Does VA have an ID requirement to vote?
