I have always thought states should approve a 2 year budget, then meet for a short session on the off year to remove laws that are no longer relevant.

Can you imagine a candidate running to revoke a law?

They seem to think they must pass a law to govern.

1 house meeting every other year for 4 months, a 2-yeqr budget, Gov can convene them in very specific emergency situations. Two 4-year terms and you cannot get a state appointed position or be a lobbyist until you’re out of office 5 years.
