>>> I understand what is happening, I just dont understand why virginity itself, is such a big deal.
To the moral person (belief in God) Virginity represents purity... righteousness... innocence. Maintaining ones self as pure for the institution of marriage brings blessing and fulfillment to what the marriage relationship was intended to bring. “faking” virginity bases the entire relationship from that initial point of consummation going forward upon a lie.
To the amoral person, virginity represents hypocracy against nature... the denial of self, and illustrates a flawed belief system. The removal of that innocence through forced or statutory rape is seen as a victory over that belief system, and a way of bringing humility to the proud.
>>> (tagline): “If we are made in the Image of God, then why do we have faults”
Because we are NOT God, and because we Chose to sin against Him with the free will that He gave us.
We have faults because WE CHOSE THEM.
To me, having had sex does not mean impurity, unrighteousness or any of that stuff.
I do not believe that morality means a belief in God.
Then if we have faults, we must not be made in His image. Besides, He creates us knowing we will have faults, doesn’t He?
