Perhaps you are the one who so easily forgets. Sarah Palin is John McCain’s hand-picked, personally groomed protégé. The perfect McCainian Candidate.

NOT TRUE! McWHatshisname didn't want her on board. He wanted the MN guy. The GOP operatives, quite rightly, pushed Palin because they could see Bob Dole in the making and wanted to position her for a run in 2012. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE LET THE MEDIA SELECT OUR PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES.

WHAT? I'm not homosexual... Palin is hot and April 19, 17775 in Lexington is a very important concept. What's your point????

Sorry about that then, I go by screen name and I thought your name was April. I didnt get the reference right away. The screen name may not be familiar without the date, as was I.

No problem. The date somehow fell off the screen name when I re-enlisted and Its been a gender challenging environment ever since! I think I need a new name but this one is so powerful... Everyone named Lexington should name a daughter April!

Can you refer to any source for your assertion that the GOP pushed Palin in ‘08 with ‘12 in mind? Thanks.

LOL. really sorry about that. I didnt know why a female name would think Palin was “hotter than heck” at first. Homo and lesbian need to be driven out of the party. I didnt get your screen name at first. Sorry about that!

During the run up to the VP announcement there was quite a bit of shuffling between Huck, the MN guy and other McCain favorites. White guys all. "They" felt we needed a non-white guy to balance the Obama effect. We were assuming Obama would go nuclear and pick a woman to secure victory. In fact, he selected Crazy Joe to, apparently, pick up the lunatic vote. But the die was cast and Palin was the hands down favorite to balance the two white guys with McCain the old and Palin the wow. Obama and Joe would have destroyed McCain and any white guy. McCain got as close as he did because of Palin. What was remarkable was her internal strength and her ability to hold up under incredible pressure. She never cracked and it became evident that she was the tough guy and McCain was fading fast.

it is clear that the GOP will never win the White House with anyone who cannot attract the non-white voter. Our only chance is finding someone that Opra fans will like. Palin is that person. She is an incredible leader and she has survived the crucible of the Leftist media. The palin skits wont be funny in 2012. Old hat. She will become a real and viable presidential candidate like Reagan when he recovered from his primary defeat in 1975.

The real problem is the GOP nomenclatura. Filled to the brim with sick minds and sleazy operatives who would screw their grandmothers for even a whiff of power. The party must be purged or we must form a conservative alternative to the clown show that is the national GOP.

As if the fact that “Lexington” is not a surname didn’t give you a clue?

You are like the oversexed patient of the psychiatrist, saying that every ink blot means sex then accusing the psychiatrist of showing him dirty pictures!

Fear not, I’ve messed up plenty of heads on this forum. I really should change the screen name to something a bit more masculine. Like... “family blood spilled at Lexington and, dagnabit, it could happen again” or something...

I agree with all of that. Just didn’t see evidence of Palin as forced on McCain with ‘12 in mind.

she is flanked by John McCain’s people... still. Hasn’t anyone else noticed this?

Unlike you we have noticed that her advisors on foreign policy are men like Scheuneman who defended her AGAINST McCain during the campaign.

meaning not getting it in the intellectual sense. Not the dirty way. LOL. My sister always told me I needed to step back and look at the situation before I go about arguing it. I always lost debates with her. LOL. Im trying to improve.

Forced onMcCan to save his candidacy. But, politics is long view stuff. Nobody gets the nod for VP to an old guy without thinking ahead. Look what happened with Cheney and Bush. We have Obama today because nobody was in the pipe to scare him off. Cheney would be an incredible president. Just listen to the magnitude of the Leftist howls! Like Palin... the louder the pinkos the better the candidate.

There’s also a lot of tactical ticket balancing: old guy, young vp; inexperienced guy, old vp.
