What a sweet looking child. Just damn!
That is incredible. Just plain horrible. I live in my safe little world and think when someone’s house gets egged it’s bad. I feel saddened and blessed at the same time.
Bless his soul, dear Lord. Protect his family, give them peace, and let them see justice served.
Anticipating a new event, “Urban Rioting”, for the Chicago Olympics, they were just auditioning and/or practicing.
Thoughts and prayers for this young man and his family. May justice be served.
To anyone out there who might be reading: It’s time people stopped trying to save “the community” and “the youth.” Give up. Just move your families to safer places. Leave the dangerous neighborhoods to the thugs. If you fear loved ones will be stuck behind with the thugs, convince them to move, too. If you’re stuck, then remove your child from the dangerous schools and their surrounding environments. No place is safe, but some neighborhoods just cannot be saved.

The Street view on Google of Agape Community Center, 342 W. 111th St. looks to be rough area. However, there seems to be a Church on every corner for blocks around. The School itself , 5 blocks away, appears clean and well maintained.
What's happened in this place that neighboring teens could stand around and simply watch the death of a fellow student without intervention?

Derrion was not involved in gangs. He appears to have had
an excellent roll model in his Grandfather. It illustrates
that it certainly doesn't take a village to raise a Child
just a mom and a.....dad.

If this is correct, only 4% of students at Fenger meet 11th grade reading standards and only 3% are up to speed in math.
Fenger is just three miles north of Obama and Jeremiah Wright's church.
