Despite a planned rally in Albany Tuesday to protest a state regulation requiring health care workers be vaccinated against influenza both seasonal and swine flu New Yorks top public health official predicts dissenters will ultimately extinguish their anger and roll up their sleeves.

Maybe we can both hire that ambulance chaser John Edwards and file a class action lawsuit against the company? I heard he could use a few bucks himself.
The virus can survive for hours on things you touch or cough on, perhaps even longer. When a person is coughing, they don't particularly control where the sputum might land, do they?
Those folks were dangerous fools. Good for you for standing your ground.
Thanks for the heads up, I’ve heard Tamiflu (sp) is a waste of time....knock on wood I hope I won’t need either one.
They might tell you that you should only get the shot if you are 50 years or older, or for other health problems. If you want to be vaccinated, tell them to give you the damn shot.
What's so dammed difficult about taking the old fashioned flu shot? I get one every year. I just got the seasonal flu shot on Saturday. I barely felt it. Flu mist is for wusses.
I don’t get it. First World Health Org (WHO) says they will no longer keep stats on H1N1. July 27th 09 was their last report. Total cases of H1N1 worldwide....134,503. Total deaths worldwide....816. Huh? Okay, ya know what approx. 115 people die everyday in auto accidents, roughly 3400 people a month. What gives? And why on June llth 2009 did they raise to 6 Pandemic? 6 Pandemic and you’re not going to keep stats?
I also hear that H1N1 is synthetic structural recombinant containing genes from birds, humans and pigs from different continents. Also has been examined and said to contain virus strains from 1918 Spanish Pandemic flu. Assume this flu bug came from lab.
P.S. FYI U. S. Law supports forced vaccinations with 6 Pandemic....
Health organizations are pushing the mist over the shot. It is cheaper, and easier, for them to give. My advice is to insist on the shot if anyone tries to give you the mist.
