Only 41 percent of voters now support President Barack Obama and the Democrats' healthcare reform proposal down from 44 percent two weeks ago and the lowest level of support yet measured by Rasmussen Reports.
Rasmussen's nationwide telephone survey also found that 56 percent of voters are now opposed to the plan.
Just 33 percent of senior citizens favor the plan, while 59 percent are opposed.
Other findings of the poll:
46 percent of respondents believe the reform plan will likely pass and become law this year, but 47 percent think it will likely not pass, including 15 percent who say it is not at all likely to pass.
While 23 percent of voters "strongly favor" the legislative effort to reform healthcare, 43 percent are "strongly opposed."
24 percent of respondents say the quality of healthcare will improve if the plan passes, and 55 percent say it will get worse.
54 percent say passage of the plan will increase the cost of healthcare, and 23 percent say it will lower the cost.

Well off to Denmark to get the Olympics.......
Community Organizers do not govern. They go around complaining about things and blaming other people for problems. And, most importantly, they extort large amounts of money from people, and funnel those funds to their friends.
Difficult for it to go much lower. Around 30% of the county are mindless drones of the Democrat Party. They will do what ever the party bosses tell them. Another 10% are too stupid to have a clue what is going on in the world beyond the last soap opera/sporting event they watched
I have two questions
1) Where did the poll come from?
2) How many points were added to the 41% approve rating? I don’t believe for one second that 41% of the people actually support this disaster.
+++While 23 percent of voters “strongly favor” the legislative effort to reform healthcare++++
That’s about right....I figured 20% of the country was blood sucking Communists!
negative polling like that from seniors would be enough to send any sane party out waiving the white towel
...none of us should be lulled into complacency by polls. This must be fought tooth and nail to the end.
Rassmussen, go to:
Title of article is “Opposition to Health Care Plan Hits New High of 56%”
While there, you should take a moment to read this one, “Congressional Favorability Ratings”: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/congressional_favorability_ratings
Nice excerpt from the latter: “However, all political labels except ‘being like Ronald Reagan’ - are falling into disfavor with many U.S. voters.”
one thing old people do is vote. Now any senator who supports this scheme is going to have a big hammer looming over his head come next election.
“Just 33 percent of senior citizens favor the plan”
...old San Fran hippies, Woodstock attendee, dope smokers. So burned out, they don’t know what’s going on.
*BUMP* !
Not true, they were so intimidated that Obama had already won, millions didn’t bother to vote...
So true. Professional whiner with zero useful experience.
The more they push this bill, the better our chances are for taking back our country (hopefully before it’s too late).
I want to ass a poll that asked NObama voters how they like him now- only 9 months later.
I want to see a poll that asked NObama voters how they like him now- only 9 months later.
The poll question I’d like to see is:
“How has your opinion of Barack Obama changed between last year’s election and now, after nearly a year?
a. I have a higher opinion than before
b. My opinion is mostly unchanged
c. I have a lower opinion than before.”
