There is a guy here on FR that used to be a detective in the neighborhood where that pic was taken. I can’t recall his name. He said that was a big gay neighborhood and that only gays wore those lace up boots. It was sort of their little sign. He commented that had he gone into that apt. and seen Barry sitting there with those boots on, the guy next to him, the little plant in the corner, his gaydar would have been off the charts.
