President Obama will travel to Copenhagen to make a pitch for Chicagos Olympic bid, White House officials have confirmed to NBC News.
Obama will leave for Denmark Thursday night, hours after his wife Michelle departs for the vote. The president made the final decision Saturday night after returning from the G20 summit in Pittsburgh.
The announcement ends months of speculation of whether the president would lend his considerable fame to the pitch. The president has dropped hints all month long that he may attend the event.
Last week he sent an advance team to Copenhagen just in case he could make it ...

Bringing the Olympics to Chicago means $10 billion will be scammed. Mitt cleaned up the Winter Olympics. I doubt Hussein will call Mitt to make sure there is no corruption.
Regardless of the politicians, Chicago is a world class city.
Have you ever been there? It’s beautiful.
Obama’s Olympics Timing is Impeccable
The White House made their move to control the news cycle

There are several ways to look at Obama’s announcement that he will, finally, irrefutably, slam-bam-thank-ya-ma’m-ally be going to Copenhagen.
One: It was always so. The 2016 Olympic gang and the White House orchestrated a PR campaign that climaxes with the arrival, in Copenhagen, of the leader of the free world. Boo ya. Compelling, if only for the sheer conspiratorial excitement.
Two: Luck. Obama found time in his schedule. Meh. If Obama was hedging in public, it was a political hedge. If he had committed to going weeks or months ago, his detractors would have made hay. Bails and bails of hay.
Three: Seeing Rio take the #1 spot in contender rankings Sunday, and seeing that Tokyo’s prime minister finally decided to go to Copenhagen, the White House made their move to control the news cycle.

By announcing first thing Monday morning, Obama buries both Around the Rings’ press release and the news out of Tokyo.
Obama protects himself from accusations he’s not as dedicated as Yukio Hatoyama, and gives Chicago’s delegation something to tout over Rio’s numbers.
Now it’s Obama in the headlines — likely for the entire week.

It’s pretty right now. Have you ever been there?
Barry has far more important and pressing matters to deal with than take ANOTHER frakin’ trip on taxpayer money to lobby for the Olympics in Chicago. What a frakin’ idiotic moron.
Daley Dismisses the Real World
###
Mayor Daley dismissed an FAA report citing a slew of runway violations at O’Hare airport that also accused the city of a pattern of making false statements.
Mayor Daley also dismissed an independent economic study showing that the benefits of hosting the Olympics here would only be a fourth of what city officials and organizers claim - at best.
Then Daley dismissed reports about gravity, the roundness of the Earth and where the sun rises and sets.
When Daley doesn’t like the facts, he just dismisses them.

Clout admissions at Chicago Public Schools? It’s a good thing! It shows those schools are working.
Politics playing a role in principal picks? Nonsense! Not in Chicago!
A city government so corrupt that it can’t even hire its own employees without the need of a court-appointed federal monitor? We lead by example when it comes to ethics!
There is no fact too big or too small for this administration to contort to its liking.

Well politics has never been Chicago’s strong suit. The city and its general culture though are world class. It’s a wonderful city.
The countrys economy is in shambles and this Joker is flying to Copenhagen for a brief vacation.
BTTT
Exactly.
On a second comment, the article read:
...whether the president would lend his considerable fame to the pitch. The president has dropped hints all month long that he may attend the event.
Now what "considerable frame?" My goodness, the man is a stick man, hardly a considerable frame of a man. And, although I tend not to criticize writers, I am sick of people using improper English. Today's college graduates who call themselves "journalists," use the word "may" rather than "might" all the time. Of course Obama MAY GO, he is permitted to go where he wants! But, saying he "might go" is the appropriate wording. Drat...don't they teach these kids anything in college except how to hate America, hold riots and demonstrations and fight against Capitalism?

What’s wrong with Rio? It’s gorgeous. It would be a heckova lot better than a dirty grimy industrial city on a freezing lake.
