An undemocratic tide in the Americas (Newt Gingrich)

What is the Obama administration thinking?
A close ally of Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez sits barricaded in the Brazilian Embassy in Tegucigalpa, having been lawfully convicted of attempting a slow-motion coup in Honduras. Paid bands of his rent-a-thugs are terrorizing and looting the city.
And the Obama administration is effectively cheering them on.
It all began this summer, when Honduran President Manuel Zelaya was deposed and deported following his attempt to subvert the Honduran Constitution.
In a part of the world where strongmen -- or caudillos -- too often use democratic means to gain power but then refuse to relinquish it, the Honduran Constitution strictly prohibits changing its presidential term-limit provision.
In blatant defiance of this, early this summer Zelaya orchestrated street protests in support of a referendum to rewrite the constitution to allow him to retain power beyond the end of his term in January.
By all accounts -- including a report issued recently by the independent Congressional Research Service -- the Honduran authorities acted legally and constitutionally in ordering and carrying out the ouster of Zelaya.

What is the Obama administration thinking? They're thinking, "A crisis is too good to waste." Haven't you figured that out yet, Newt?

Imagine if the head of the RNC was out front on this, but that pathetic DC country clubber is busy talking about how the GOP has failed "African Americans".
Disgusting and sad that in the face of basically a radical marxist takeover of the United States government the only one calling a spade a spade is a guy that's not even in Congress anymore.

Good article but Newt hasn't been listening to O (not that I blame him). The Obamanation has said on different occasions, that we are not going to impose our concept of democracy on other nations. I gather that means socialist/communist dictatorships and Islamic rule by clergy are OK (except in the case of Karzi in Afghanistan where a blatantly flawed election may give the O an excuse to scram and let an Islamic clergy government take over there in in neighboring Pakistan)

Yes, Newt is right on target here. Too bad he’s too unreliable to be President.
To: Texas Fossil
I'm waiting for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to resign any day now.
I think she may be tired of Obama’s gang calling the shots and pulling her strings.
She has to realize she's just a puppet and Michelle's probably still grinding her teeth over O giving her the SOS job, but in reality Hillary has to realize soon that it's just a SOSINO.

Obama is thinking this is what he wants to do = as he said: “I plan on being president a long time.”
They now have laws ready that will give them the power to declare a national emergency over about anything - martial law.
Martial law = no election.
Think they wouldn't do it? Think of all they've done so far and are trying to do. Ever think you'd see the day?

Perhaps most inexplicable has been the Obama administration's pronouncement that it will not accept the results of the Honduran presidential election scheduled for November as long as Zelaya is denied the presidency. And isn't this now standard Democrat procedure?
"We refuse to recognize any election in which our guy loses."

I also think a lot of “Rats” will be jumping ship soon. It is amazing that 9/12 did not make it happen, but it is coming.
So is the revolt.
Which State will be the first to openly defy DC? It is coming.
