If you think speeches attacking the U.S. Federal Reserve couldn't excite a Friday night crowd on a college campus, think again.
About 2,000 people -- students and older adults who were in the majority -- filled Northrop Auditorium at the University of Minnesota to cheer libertarian Rep. Ron Paul, a Texas Republican, as he joined Rep. Michele Bachmann to preach the gospel of a less powerful federal government.
Before Bachmann, R-Minn., introduced Paul, she hailed legislation of his that would require a detailed audit of the Fed. The crowd jumped to its feet and roared approval.
When she described the Fed's actions helping the banking industry as "shrouded in secrecy," one man jumped up and yelled, "Ponzi scheme!"

And there it is.
And you are a rank hypocrite.
If Paul didn't insert his earmarks, they would not be in the final bill.
So we have another two-faced Paultard on FR.
What a surprise.
I have to agree with you on this.
My thoughts exactly. That's why I included two actual quotes from Ron Paul. One in which Paul lays blame on America for the 911 attacks and the other one exposing Paul's anti-war stance, pacifism, appeasement and surrender foreign policy mindset.
Not only does Paul want to slash the size of the US military, he wants to undermine our national defense capabilities and eliminate the DHS, CIA and the FBI. Leaving America without any intelligence apparatus whatsoever.
Face it. Ron Paul's foreign policy, military and national defense beliefs are straight out of the liberal Democrat playbook. No doubt about it.
The only dead horse around here is the knee jerk Paul hater brigade.
And don’t you worry, Michele Bachmann will keep on beating it:

Conclusion: Bachmann > DakotaRed
No, he blames the foreign policy of the United States Federal government, the fact that it has bases in Saudi Arabia, if you listen to the terrorists statement they cite things like that.
But you think they attack America randomly and for no reason
my god, so many idiots on here
he voted to go after them in Afghanistan. He voted and strongly condemned going into Iraq which he said was based on a pack of lies and was no threat to the US.
HE WAS RIGHT
if Paul didnt insert the earmarks someone else will spend the money, the budget is already set. it’s a total red herring.
Thanks for the PING. I’m glad I was getting drunk at Appleton’s Oktoberfest than responding to the usual anti-Paul arguments Saturday. Criticizing Paul’s foreign policy on an economic thread. Unbelievable.
This is what happens when people like you are lazy and don't read the entire thread, instead choose to read random replies and respond before you have all the facts. I explain in RE:#94 that we've known for centuries why the Islamic world hates America. Its because of their oppressive fundamentalist religion based on the Koran and opposition to freedom and liberty. Jefferson and Adams understood this 200 years ago.
>>>>>No, he blames the foreign policy of the United States Federal government...
I explain that in the same post at #94 and one other post. Open your eyes.
Once again — your response was NOT to call the Comedian on the carpet for his desire to, as Kurtz would have put it, “exterminate the [Afghani] brutes.”
Instead, you immediately attack some aspect of the US. The fact that you were attacking US progressives is irrelevant. The bashing of America comes first and without effort.
I have no brief for the progressives, just as I have none for eugenicists or Nazis. I’m just noting that it looks like the Paulites on this forum have developed a knee-jerk “Attack America First!” attitude.
As someone originally from MN, trust me they were there to see Michelle Bachman.
Yes, I could tell from the Ron Paul signs and thundering applause that it was all about Bachmann.
^^sarcasm
Just wait until I get around to transcribing the lavish praise that Bachmann heaps upon Dr. Paul in his town hall introduction.

Let’s see if the haters, their contempt for Dr Paul and all his associates so vehemently stated, will throw Michele under the bus with him.
*makes popcorn*
As for soon-to-be departing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Paul dismisses her supporters as "more establishment, conventional Country-Club type of Republicans.
"I wonder whether she's energizing the 15-20 year olds," Paul muses. "That would be a question I would have. Because she doesn't talk about the Federal Reserve and some of these issues. She doesn't talk too much about personal liberties, civil liberties, getting rid of drug laws, attacking the war on drugs, punishing people who torture."

Didn't everybody throughout the 90's? What about being an obstetrician qualifies Paul on potential WMDs?
as a conservative you should be ashamed and as a citizen very concerned.
As a Veteran, I am more concerned about those who would strip away efforts at protecting America and who would desire to wait until children on bicycles are trying to avoid ied's on our own streets before thinking about doing something about them.
theyre selling the same shit about Iran now
yeah, yeah, heard it all before. Iran is a peaceful loving country taking a stand against those mean old oppressive Americans who do nothing but dominate the world by forcing everybody into democracies while rape their women and children and steal their resources.
And you can intimate I am deluded?
No wonder Paul never rceived more than single digit polling points in the REAL polls.
