This show, like the CIS shows and the NCIS show, is loosely based on real life, but they are entertaining and that’s why I watch them.

I wanted to like the show. I really did. But the very first episode seemed designed to vilify conservative white men.

I think it’s dangerous for people to be doing things like this on tv. People actually believe everything.
Of course, the one thing we can count on; we don’t need anyone to tell us Obama is a liar. Everything he has done indicates he is.

I haven’t seen the show, just posted the article.
I would think that if it’s on Fox, it would not have an anti-conservative bias.

Unfortunately, I think a large number of people, because of not being taught properly growing up, tend to oversimplify everything, and do not always understand things are much more complex and/or difficult than they initially seem. Problems that are solved in an hour or less on TV contribute to overall unrealistic expectations in life.

FWIW, narcissists and sociopaths can often lie, without tells.

I’m good at spotting Obama’s lies. See my tagline.

FWIW, narcissists and sociopaths can often lie, without tells. The "tells" are indicators of stress. Sociopaths can lie without stress. This also allows them to pass lie-detector tests.
A smart sociopath would research body language, and be able to project the tells he wanted to project.

I’d say give it another try. I’m not a huge fan of the show but I do enjoy it if I come across it while channel surfing.
Tim Roth’s acting is always solid. I loved hating him in Rob Roy.

Problems Sexual relationships that are solved consummated in an hour or less on TV AND IN MOVIES contribute to overall unrealistic expectations in life.

Every episode I watched, maybe two, featured members of the Bush administration as illustrations of lying techniques.
I’ll pass on season 2. I can’t afford wasting hours having my intelligence insulted.

They present them with statements of provocation and watch for the reaction. In the real world, this is a common tactic as is interpretation of writing. We write very differently when we are fabricating than we do when we are relating recalled information. But, what can you do if you have to solve everything in a single time slot. It’s not bad entertainment and seems to be pretty balanced on showing everybody is hiding something.
