HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS -- The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department busted a ring of men posing as fake cops Thursday.
Deputies are still looking for more suspects.
They arrested Eduardo Varela and Rafael Saenz.
The men are accused of storming into a home north of Mercedes earlier this month and posing as FBI agents.
The suspects allegedly took a 2003 BMV.
Investigators said Varela and Saenz implicated five other men.
"Ricardo Guzman known as 'El Borrado' may be a former Mexican police officer who also had a district job to recruit illegal immigrants to participate in these home invasions," explained Sheriff Lupe Treviño.
Sheriff Treviño said all the wanted men are armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts should call the Hidalgo County Crime Stoppers line at (956)668-TIPS.
ping
And yet Odummer has decided to removed 350+ border patrol agents from the souther border because he doesn’t think any violence is spilling over into the U.S. yet. What a moron!
But it’s racism not to let the Mexicans pose as US FBI!
There’s a bigger question here in regard to the way police carry on their service of warrants/pretenders/et al. For the home owner its impossible to differentiate between the 2 during the critical moments of the break in. Do you shoot and take your chances or not? If you don’t do you may subject yourself/family to rape/murder/theft? If you do and kill a COP will you get railroaded thru The System as a COP killer/killer wannbe? There are no easy choices and in either case you better be sharp and prepare for any contingency.
Why would anyone pose as a fake cop?
I can see posing as a real cop, but... ;)
What about the ring of fake executives including the commander in chief?
what in the world is a BMV and why would fake cops want that?
I agree with your concerns. My option is to shoot and deal with it after. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. But you are right about the police needing to look at how they serve warrants. After dark, your A** belongs to me if the door is kicked in. I don’t care if you are yelling “POLICE”. Blue jeans, t-shirts that say POLICE, FBI, DEA, they are easy to buy at any military surplus store or tactical equipment stores. You don’t have time to decide good guy/bad guy. Your life, your family’s lives depend on a quick judgement. A polite knock on the door with a uniform cop is the best way. I know that drug dealers will resist but isn’t it the liberal mindset that it is better that a 1000 guilty people go free rather that one innocent be convicted. I suspect that doesn’t apply to certain people who are legal gun owners.
That was funny.
It was an evil BMW SUV. They chopped it up for parts.
From The Monitor:
Also wanted by deputies in connection with the pseudo-cop home invasion ring are:
>> Carlos El Rojo Castillo, a 31-year-old illegal immigrant. Records show Castillo has had charges of assault and failure to identify dismissed in state district court in Hidalgo County during the past decade.
>> Eddie Villarreal, a 27-year-old U.S. citizen. Records show he was convicted twice on charges of unlawful carrying of a weapon, as well as evading arrest, aggravated assault and aggravated robbery.
>> Ruben Chacho Villarreal, a 24-year-old U.S. citizen who has an ongoing case in an Hidalgo County court-of-law for one count of unlawful carrying of a weapon.
Guys like these are giving all people of Hispanic descent a bad rap.
Italian immigrants and their descendents, the majority of whom were law abiding citizens, had the Mafia to thank for smearing their heritage. Now Hispanics have to suffer like damage due to criminals such as these three.
LOL!
I had the exact same thought.
The other fellows wanted by the law are operating under other names in another place. In other news, Cuco Sanchez, México's most famous philosopher, still dead.
Damned Norwegians. Trying to throw John Law off their trail again. "Chacho" (Real name Ole Fjordingsen) probably has lutefisk hidden in his backpack ... the bastard!
Yah....it’s getting time for Christmas lutefisk!
lol
Smelly old fish gave them away!
